How Fingerprint Recognition Works
Enrolment: each user places a finger on the sensor several times. The device extracts unique minutiae points and converts them into an encrypted template.
Template storage: only the mathematical template is stored — never the fingerprint image — on the device and/or a cloud server.
Matching: on each scan the live print is compared against stored templates, typically in under half a second, even with thousands of users enrolled.
Decision: a match releases the door or records attendance; every event is logged with user ID, time and device.
System Capabilities
Capacitive & Optical Sensors
Choose rugged optical sensors for dusty sites or capacitive sensors for crisp, fast reads in offices.
Anti-Spoofing
Live-finger detection rejects silicone, paper and gelatin fakes.
High-Capacity Templates
Up to 50,000 templates per device with fast 1:N identification.
Flexible Credentials
Combine fingerprint with PIN or RFID card for higher-security doors.
Door & Attendance Ready
Works standalone, with electric locks and turnstiles, or as a time-clock terminal.
Centralised Management
Enrol, edit and revoke users across devices from one dashboard.
Benefits of Automation
- Fingerprints can't be shared, lost or forgotten like cards and PINs.
- Fast, familiar enrolment — most users are set up in under 30 seconds.
- Eliminates buddy punching and card cloning.
- Low running cost with no credentials to replace.
- Detailed audit logs for every verification.
- Scales from a single door to multi-site deployments.
